MIXED CURLING
RULES & REGULATIONS
2003-2004
1. Scheduled Games: Rinks should make every effort to play their games as they are scheduled. If unable to do so, opposing skips may re-schedule the game to any mutually agreeable date and time. A skip, however, is under no obligation to agree to reschedule a game and may ask for a forfeit from the skip who was unable to play the game as originally schedule.
2. Start Times: All rinks are requested to begin their games on time, as schedule. Early draw teams may not begin a new end after the scheduled time of the next draw.
3. Legal Rinks: A legal rink shall consist of at least two (2) members of the original rink as assigned by the Mixed Curling Committee.
4. Posting of Results: It shall be the responsibility of each skip to post the results of their game on the score sheets provided on the bulletin board. Because the results of every game will likely affect the overall standings of the other teams in the event, the outcome of each game should be posted immediately after the competition of the game. Results not posted will be consisted as losses for both teams when the Mixed Committee calculates the final standings for each session.
5. Make-Up Games: All rescheduled games are to be played prior to the following dates.
First session January 11
Make-up games not to be played by these dates will be considered as losses for both teams when the Mixed Committee calculates the final standings of each session.
6. Forfeits: If a legal rink fails to take the ice within 15 minutes of the time of a scheduled game (regular, make-up, or play-off game), the opposing skip shall be awarded the game by forfeit.
7. Scoring: The results of each game played shall be posted as with a win or a loss. There will be no ties games.
8. Event Winners: There will be an overall winner in the Oakwood Event. Rather, there will be a winner and a Runner-up for each night for both sessions of the 2003-2004 season. The winner of each night of each session shall be the team with the next overall winning percentage (Wins/Games Played), without regard to whether or not the team had a bye. In the event of a tie for either session, it shall be the choice of the teams involved to determine the winner (i.e. play-off, coin toss, last rock, etc.)
9. Special Instructions: All mixed curling games at KMCC are scheduled as 8-end games, but above all….
